Pairing: Satsu/Rowena

-+-What they don’t teach you in Slayer School-+-

“ ‘Kick my ass,’ she tells us.” Satsu muttered to herself as she made her way down the castle corridor towards the dormitory. She picked off her “rude girl” pin which had gotten bent out of shape to the point that the pin was sticking into her chest, an unfortunate result of the demonstrative ass-kicking she’d received from the famous Buffy Summers.

“She had a point to make und she made it vell.” A thick accent came from behind her. Satsu spun on her heels to see Rowena standing behind her, in the middle of removing her baseball cap and wiping the sweat from her forehead, and finally running a hand through her cropped blonde hair before replacing the cap.

Satsu cocked a hip and folded her arms across her chest as she waited for the other slayer to catch up. “You can’t tell me you’re not sore.”

“I needed a vorkout.” Rowena said, giving a nonchalant toss of the head as she caught up to the Asian girl and the two continued to walk down the corridor side by side.

“A workout?” she scoffed, “Miss Summers turned you, me, and Leah into her personal punching bags.” She flailed her arms for emphasis. “And in front of everyone. Why does she pick on us?”

“Cause we’re her favorites, und you know it.” The pair approached the large wooden door that led to the bunks.

“More like her lackeys.” Satsu said, pushing the door open with a heavy thud, nearly breaking one of the hinges. “Damnit. Still not used to that.” She stepped to the side, holding her arm out, “After you.”

“Vhy thank you.” Rowena said with a mocking bow before entering the room, Satsu at her heels. “But like I said, she had a point. Ve are not vorking as a team.” The German girl made her way down the row of bunk beds and flopped down onto the third one on the right.

“The bottom’s mine, and you know it.” Satsu whined nudging Rowena with her foot.

“Ya snooze, ya lose.” Rowena smirked, closing her eyes and wriggling around making herself comfortable and definitively claiming her spot in the bed.

“Yeah well… fuck you, Blondie.” Satsu said. “Eh,” she shrugged, “I’m gonna take a shower… and get some grub. God I’m hungry.” She muttered as she started to walk away, pulling her shirt over her head and tossing it over her shoulder before she entered the door leading through the bathroom. The shirt landed squarely on Rowena’s face.

The blonde pulled it off her face and watched the other girl disappear through the door. She was sure she saw Satsu give a little shimmy of the hips as she disappeared and she was sure Satsu knew she saw. Rowena squirmed on the bed. Her stomach was growling, that much was true. Something about training always made her hungry. She squirmed a little more. Okay, a few more things beyond hungry. She wasn’t too sure if anyone else was feeling it.

She heard the shower turn on in the distance. She sighed and lifted Satsu’s shirt to her nose and gave it a little sniff. She cast a look in the direction of the hallway door and then the bathroom door before deeply inhaling the perfume from the shirt. She closed her eyes and listened. She heard humming coming from the shower. Well… it couldn’t hurt just to take a peek could it? She tossed the shirt aside and pushed herself up off the bed, and cast her hat aside. She shoved her hands into her pockets and headed for the bathroom, tossing a glance over her shoulder to make sure no one was following or watching her as she slipping into the room, closing the door behind her.

The first thing that hit her was the heat of the room. Sure it was damp from the running water, but so was the rest of the castle- kind of a byproduct of living in an old castle in a mountain valley. She looked up and down the wings of the bathroom, looking for feet under the bathroom stalls. There were none to be seen, people were probably eating dinner.

Sure of herself, she headed towards the shower stalls and found that only one was running, and not only that but the metal door to the stall was wide open, Satsu’s pants and underwear lay on a smile pile on the tile floor. Looking around once more, Rowena stepped into the stall and closed the door behind her.

Before she had a chance to reach for the lock an arm shot out from behind the curtain and snatched the blonde from the back of her sweatshirt and pulled her into the steady flowing stream of hot water. “Took you long enough.” Satsu hissed, before pushing her up against the wall, and pressing her lips to Rowena’s in a fierce kiss, muffling any answer that she might have been about to give.

Leah walked down the corridor with a water bottle in her hand, mostly empty. She pushed open the door to the bunk and saw Renee standing alone in the middle of the room, looking around in circles.

“What are ye-” Leah started.

“Shh!” Renee cut her off. “Do you hear something?”

“I dun-”

“Shh!” Renee said again, finally fixing her gaze on the bathroom door. “It’s coming from… oh…”

Leah walked over to Satsu’s bed and picked up the discarded shirt and Rowena’s dropped cap.

“Oh.” Renee repeated. The sounds in the bathroom growing louder and louder and louder and then finally it all went silent save for the sound of running water. The African-American girl shifted her weight from one foot to the other. “So, hey. Wanna go grab some dinner?”

“Sounds good.” Leah said, rushed, and the two raced for the door.

A few moments later, Satsu and Rowena stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in towels. “Honestly,” Satsu said, “she teaches about the punching and the kicking but she really hasn’t told us much about the other things about being a Slayer.”
